By provinces, participation in the province of Las Palmas is 25.02 percent (1.49% more than in 2019) and 27.47 percent in that of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (4.33 percent more than in 2019).
By islands, participation at 1:00 p.m. was 27.11% in El Hierro (+6.65% than in 2019), 23.25% in Fuerteventura (+0.99%), 25.64 % in Gran Canaria (+1.58%), 31.58% in La Gomera (+13.10), 33.20% in La Palma (+10.62%) and 22.14% in Lanzarote (+1.55%).
The index of citizens who have gone to the polls in the first five hours of voting has been provided by the Ministry of the Interior and the Government of the Canary Islands on the web page of the elections.
At 1:00 p.m., a total of 421,154 people had voted in the archipelago, compared to 401,334 in 2019 at the same time.
In all of Spain, participation in the municipal elections was 36.22 percent at 1:00 p.m., 1.12 points more than in 2019 at the same time, when it was 35.10 percent.
