According to Padilla, this government will serve to consolidate social policies that, for Castilla-La Mancha, are “priorities”, and that do not question the interests and rights of water for the region.
In a press conference to report on the agreements adopted at the weekly meeting of the Governing Council, Padilla answered questions from journalists about the political situation that arises after the general elections on July 23, with several options open.
The result of the 23rd, he pointed out, brings “good news” to Castilla-La Mancha, as long as “hate policies are moving away and social policies and respect are consolidated.”
In this sense, he stressed that it would be good for the country as a whole and for Castilla-La Mancha if after the elections “there could be a government that consolidates the social policies that are a priority for Castilla-La Mancha” and “transcendent” issues for this region, so that “it does not call into question the interests and rights of water for Castilla-La Mancha”.
A Government, he continued, with which agreements can be reached in all areas and, in a very special way, in what refers to the consolidation of social policies.
“We are not going to anticipate events, but everything points to the fact that there may indeed be a government in this sense,” said the spokesperson.
He added that the Socialist Party has risen in votes and seats and, therefore, Pedro Sánchez has “the right to lead the dialogue in order to form a government.”
