Madrid, (EFE).- The head of the Algeciras court (Cádiz) has ordered prison without bail for 11 of the 15 detainees related to the Farruku clan. A criminal drug trafficking organization made up of Albanian citizens. She is credited with trying to introduce 10 tons of cocaine and as many hashish into different ports in Europe.
As sources close to the investigation have informed EFE, they are four Albanians who were part of the head of the clan in Spain. Among them, the brother-in-law and right hand of the boss “Niko”, and an Italian citizen linked to the Calabrian mafia.
Prison without bail has also been ordered for six other people from the logistics branch of the criminal organization based on the Costa del Sol. It was allegedly managed by the lawyer Juan Fernández. They established the network of front companies or managed the ships that were going to be used to store the cocaine.
The Civil Guard, in collaboration with Europol, has dismantled this week what is known as the Farruku clan, in an operation that has resulted in 21 house searches in the provinces of Cádiz, Málaga, Madrid, Barcelona and Toledo and the arrest of 17 people. among them the main members of the organization, and the summons of 20 more people as investigated.

During the course of the investigation, numerous drug seizures in different European countries have been attributed to the organization, totaling almost 10,000 kilos of cocaine in different ports, including two tons seized in 2022 in Algeciras and 10,000 kilos of hashish seized in Portugal.
The Civil Guard portrays the Farruku clan as a criminal organization made up mainly of people of Albanian origin with family ties, most of them and who have been settled in Spain for several years, mainly in Madrid and the Costa del Sol.
Some of its members, all with numerous criminal records, were responsible for the violent assault suffered by businessman José Luis Moreno at his home in 2007.
Its leader, Kreshnik Budlla, alias “Niko”, has several criminal charges and is currently on the run from justice. He has been detected more than ten false identities. EFE
