Granada, (EFE).- The Government delegate in Andalusia, Pedro Fernández, has assured that it is false that the Executive contemplates applying an “environmental 155” for Doñana, in the sense of withdrawing the powers to autonomy. And he has regretted that the Board joins a strategy of false information and without a real basis.
Fernández has thus responded to questions from journalists about information published by a digital newspaper. In it it was pointed out that the government has prepared an “ecological 155 to wrest competition over Doñana from Andalusia”. The spokesman for the Board and sustainability advisor, Ramón Fernández-Pachecho, responded to it on his twitter account. He thus accused the government of “preparing an offensive against the Andalusians for exercising our self-government.”
He has assured that the only thing the Government “does and will do is defend Doñana through legal instruments.” Among them, the special plan for Doñana and the measures to comply with the rulings of the Court of Justice of the European Union. “Precisely what the Junta de Andalucía is not doing” with its bill to expand irrigation in the northern crown, he has criticized.
Cynicism to think of an “environmental 155” for Doñana
“This is a strategy, a ruse that the spokesman for the Junta de Andalucía echoes. It seems very serious to me and an exercise in absolute cynicism ”, Fernández has interpreted. He has also regretted that the Andalusian government is considering a possible “environmental 155”.
The Government delegate in Andalusia has framed the position of the Board in the “so serious” situation in which the Andalusian Government has placed Doñana. The preservation of the park and its image, and for the “flagrant breach” of the mandates of Unesco, the EU and the institutions that want to defend this global environmental benchmark.
“They have invented a strategy of accusing the Government of an environmental 155 that is false”, Fernández has reiterated. He has described as serious that the Board participates in this strategy that “has nothing to do with reality”. EFE
