Oviedo, Jul 24 (EFE).- The Investigating Court number 2 of Oviedo has ordered the entry into provisional prison, communicated and without bail for the 29-year-old man arrested for robbing three taxi drivers in one week.
As reported by the Asturias Superior Police Court (TSJA), the detainee has already been admitted to the Asturias Penitentiary Center for robbery with violence and intimidation with the use of a dangerous instrument.
The man was arrested at dawn last Saturday in Plaza Castilla shortly after committing the latest robbery.
As detailed on Monday by the Police Headquarters, the man got into a taxi at the Plaza La Paz stop and asked the driver to take him to González Besada street.
Once there, the man pounced on the driver from the back seat, placed a large knife on her neck, and demanded 100 euros.
After taking part of the collection, the man got out of the vehicle to flee.
A patrol went to the scene to collect from the driver data on the physical characteristics of the robber, who was located and arrested shortly after in the vicinity of Plaza Castilla.
His arrest has made it possible to clarify the authorship of three robberies with violence committed during the last week on as many taxi drivers in the city of Oviedo, all of them carried out in the same way. EFE
