Logroño, (EFE).- The Executive of La Rioja, chaired by the popular Gonzalo Capellán, has reduced 18 posts in its structure, compared to the previous government team (PSOE-Podemos), which will save public charges of 3 9 million euros in this legislature and 985,000 euros per year.
This was announced this Friday by his spokesman, Alfonso Domínguez, in an informative conference, in which he specified that this economic saving in senior positions and eventual personnel is not the last, but that there will be more in the next phase of completing the structure of the Government, referring to entities.
Among the novelties of the new structure, two vice ministries are created, that of Health and Social Policies, which will be headed by Dr. José Antonio Oteo; and that of Education, Universities and Vocational Training, for which Miguel Angel Fernández will be responsible, who was already part of the team of the current Minister of Education, Alberto Galiana, in the 2015-2019 legislature.
In turn, the organization chart of the regional Executive reflects the importance that the La Rioja Government attaches to Equality policies and everything related to Mental and Emotional Health, which will be led by Dr. Carlos José Piserra.
The General Directorate of Social Services and Equality will in turn have a specific sub-directorate for Equality, whose manager will be Begoña Marañón Alonso.
For its part, the Mental and Emotional Health Strategy Branch will be managed by Carlos Piserra Bolaños.
Domínguez has stressed that the La Rioja Economic Development Agency (ADER), whose management is pending appointment, will be one of the entities that will be left out of the savings that the Executive expects to make, once each one has been studied with the corresponding audits.
Regarding the reduction of senior positions and temporary personnel, whose catalog will be approved and will be published shortly on the transparency portal, he has specified that it will mean an estimated saving of 496,000 euros in the remainder of 2023.
The savings in senior positions will be directed to the fulfillment of the commitment assumed by the president, Gonzalo Capellán, to increase financing by 25% to small municipalities.
