Valladolid (EFE).- The National Police of Salamanca has arrested nine people as alleged perpetrators of the attacks on officers of that police station, with eleven injured, and of the material damages caused in the building of the Territorial Board of Castilla y León after the cattle protests derived from the sanitation measures against bovine tuberculosis.
In a statement, the National Police recalled that the events occurred on June 5 on the occasion of the protest concentration of the farmers in front of the Junta building in this city, in which they defended the change of the sanitary protocols in force. , outdated according to their representatives, and that have harmed small livestock farms.
The Police have recalled that a device had previously been established in the place with officials from these dependencies and that during the concentration there were violent acts and confrontations between the farmers and the police, as well as the throwing of eggs, paint and even boats. of smoke.
Eleven police officers injured
The demonstrators tried to gain access to the building, which they were unable to do, although to do so they used the security fences and blunt objects to attack the agents. They caused damage to the windows of the front door, the statement said.
As a result, eleven police officers were injured, requiring medical assistance.
