Zaragoza (EFE).- An F18 Air Force fighter that was doing exhibition practices this Saturday crashed at the Zaragoza Air Base, while the pilot was able to eject in time and was transferred to a hospital in Zaragoza with trauma and leg injuries.
As confirmed by the Civil Guard, the fighter, which was practicing, suffered “some problem” and crashed, after the pilot managed to activate the expulsion maneuver from the cockpit.
The pilot fell very close to the exterior fence of the facility and was initially helped by the Civil Guard, to be later transferred to the hospital in the 112 helicopter.

When it fell, the device caught fire, a fire that was controlled by the facility’s firefighters, and the fighter was totally disintegrated.
