Santander, (EFE).- Twelve parties have presented candidacies for the elections to the Cantabrian Parliament on May 28, the same number of formations that concurred in the previous 2019 elections, as reported by the Provincial Electoral Board.
This body has closed at midnight this Monday the period for receiving applications, which will be proclaimed on May 2 in the Official Gazette of Cantabria after resolving appeals and irregularities, if any.
Elect 35 deputies
If all of them receive the go-ahead, the Cantabrians will be able to choose between twelve different ballots when they vote on the composition of the new regional Parliamentarian on May 28, which will be made up of 35 deputies.
Among the forces that have presented candidacies are the five parties that have representation in the Cantabrian Chamber: PRC, PP, PSOE, Ciudadanos and Vox.
The current president of Cantabria, Miguel Ángel Revilla (PRC), and the vice president, Pablo Zuloaga (PSOE), as well as the opposition leader, María José Sáenz de Buruaga (PP) remain at the head of the list of these formations. , and Félix Álvarez (Ciudadanos), while Vox renews number 1 with Leticia Díaz.
