Majadahonda, Apr 17 (EFE).- The members of the Civil Guard who have participated this Sunday in the eviction of an occupied building in Majadahonda have found “all kinds of gadgets to throw” in the rooms with a terrace closest to the public thoroughfare: Bladed weapons, cobblestones, bottles, butane canisters and blunt objects, which in the riots last Wednesday “did not hesitate to launch.”
As explained to EFE by the Civil Guard, 150 agents -120 from the Civil Guard and 30 local police from Majadahonda- were in charge this Sunday of evicting 21 people from a building that has been occupied since last September in the center of Majadahonda.
Five of them were arrested for crimes of threats and injury committed in the altercations that occurred last week in this building after the eviction attempt by the Desokupa company.
Three of these detainees have been released and two have been brought before the court.
For its part, the Social Services of the Majadahonda City Council care for two families with minors who were among the 21 evicted people.
Civil Guard troops continue this Monday around the building and, according to a spokesperson for the armed institute to EFE, during the eviction this Sunday “there were no incidents”, but they point out that there were blunt objects and bladed weapons “that again they did not hesitate to throw the people who came” to the eviction, including journalists.
The owner of the property reported the occupation a week ago and after the property was handed over to him, he has hired a security company that is currently in the building.
The device this Sunday was organized after at the end of this week the Majadahonda Investigating Court number 3 agreed as a precautionary measure to evict and throw out the building at the request of the Desokupa company, which was involved in the violent altercations in its attempt to repossess the property.
Fifteen members of Desokupa went to the place last Wednesday, but some of the squatters reacted violently, even threatening them with several bladed weapons, with one of which they even stabbed a member of the company in the hand, in addition to throwing numerous stones and blunt objects against them.
