Madrid, Apr 17 (EFE).- Justice administration officials begin an indefinite strike on Monday with partial daily strikes to demand a salary increase in line with the one agreed with the lawyers, who will receive between 430 and 450 euros gross per month more .
As of this Monday and indefinitely, 45,000 court officials have been called by the CSIF, STAJ, CCOO, UGT and CIG unions to strike between ten in the morning and one in the afternoon every day. A call that hopes to be “a success”, according to EFE sources from CSIF, the majority union in the Justice sector, have told EFE.
They are 93% of the personnel of the administration of Justice and belong mostly to the bodies of Management, Processing and Assistance, although forensic doctors and special bodies of the National Institute of Toxicology and Forensic Sciences are also summoned.
They demand an increase in their monthly salaries of between 350 and 430 euros, depending on the category of each body of officials, as well as the paralysis of the parliamentary process of the Law of Organizational Efficiency of the Public Justice Sector, which will change organic issues of the judicial services.
In addition to the partial strikes, this Wednesday there is a general strike called for the whole day and a “big demonstration” that will start from the Ministry of Justice in Madrid and which is expected to be attended by workers from all over Spain.
For her part, the head of Justice, Pilar Llop, has promised to discuss union demands, although she has asked the workers to “look out for the citizens” and “not cause harm” in the public service, and has recalled that in the autonomous communities that have not ceded the powers of Justice “already had a salary increase.”
