Zaragoza (EFE).- Around a hundred dissatisfied with Ciudadanos have created the Aragonese Liberal Platform, among them the deputies in the Cortes of Aragón Ramiro Domínguez and Beatriz García, and have allied with the PAR to run as independents in the elections regional and municipal authorities on May 28. So far, the platform has contributed about 25 applications.
It was announced this Tuesday by the president and the general secretary of the PAR, Clemente Sánchez Garnica and Alberto Izquierdo, who will be the candidates for the mayoralty of Zaragoza and the presidency of the Government of Aragon from the Teruel constituency, respectively, and Domínguez, who will choose to the mayor’s office of Alcañiz (Teruel) and will head the regional list for Zaragoza, and García, who has not confirmed if he will go number three on the list to the Cortes for that same constituency.
Aragonese, moderate, liberal and transversal project
All of them have assured that the objective is to “add” from an Aragonese, moderate, center, liberal and transversal project joining forces with lists whose positions have yet to close, without positions of one over the other.
The PAR has suffered two splits as a result of the ruling that annulled its XV Congress due to irregularities: Aragoneses, led by the critic Elena Allué, who will run in coalition with the PP, and Tú Aragón, dissatisfied with the current Executive of the PAR. Thus, the PAR adds Domínguez and García to the candidacies, whom they have convinced not to go “home”, said Izquierdo. His intention is to offer the Aragonese a project that represents “freedom” in the Aragonese political center with a party that “has no ties.”
His commitment is to defend the territory “from the bottom up” and that he aspires to get the vote of those who supported the center four years ago in the regional elections, who gave 3 seats to PAR and 12 to Ciudadanos. “The Aragonese will decide if we are two, three, one or fifteen”, he said.
“Nobody is going to tell us in Madrid what we have to do,” he added. He has assured that they show up without prior agreements and that they are not going to “sell themselves for a plate of lentils”, although they have already tried to buy them. And in the event that they are decisive in forming the new Government of Aragon, with whom they will not join will be the parties for which Aragon is not the most important thing.
Rejection of the “game of the chair”
“For us, the important thing is not the movements from Madrid or the game of the chair that Mr. Azcón (president of the Aragonese PP) has started with some others to see who sits down.” The PAR will decide internally, based on the numbers, “what interests Aragon the most.”
An alliance that has been possible because those who “annoyed so much” from the PAR the members of Cs and now from this Liberal Platform “are no longer there.” “All the clients are already clients of another company,” Izquierdo has stressed before citing José Ángel Biel and “his friends of his” and Arturo Aliaga, who holds the vice-presidency of Aragon and continues to be a member of the PAR. He has considered that those who continue in the formation are people who have “clean hands and a clear conscience”.
Although they still have to close the bases and the lists -some will be joint and others separately- to offer the Aragonese a project made up of “normal, involved, responsible, prudent and coherent” people. Opposite them are those who have chosen to join other lists “to get seats” or who are “abstract entities”, in reference to Tú Aragón, who does not know “where they are going”, not even those who make it up, Sánchez stressed. Garnica. He has commented that although this alliance has not been voted on in the PAR Executive, unlike the previous one “they talk” and everyone has seemed good.
Sánchez Garnica has admitted that the PAR “is having a hard time getting ahead” in the face of the “harassment and demolition operations” suffered by the formation, but continues to defend the Aragonese and Aragon counting on people to form a project that “is worth ”.
The commitment with Lambán ends on May 28
“That is what will lead us to electoral success”, he remarked, while pointing out that the commitment of the PAR in the quadripartite led by the socialist Javier Lambán “ends” on May 28 “and then, depending on the electoral result, they will decide. “We are free, we do not depend on anyone, we are not anyone’s crutch,” he insisted.
Domínguez, for his part, has admitted that his departure from Cs as one of its founders in Aragon and after eight years as a deputy has been “a hard drink”, and “something forced” by how things have been done. It is currently made up of a hundred members (95% linked to Ciudadanos) who hope to multiply to continue defending “freedom”. His lines “red lines” for pacts in a government will be not to touch hunting or bulls.
And although he has not left the second vice-presidency of the Table of the Cortes, which he occupies for Cs, from which he has already resigned, he has pointed out that he has yet to discuss the matter with the president of Parliament, Javier Sada, given that his work It is practically finished and he considers that his presidency would not be “very convenient” if the Permanent Deputation had to act.
arose spontaneously
Beatriz García has assured that this political option arose spontaneously a few days ago with positions representing municipal, regional and organic Cs, which she has not specified, to satisfy the Aragonese who today feel “orphans and do not know who to vote for”.
He has stressed that they will be implemented both in the three Aragonese capitals and in large municipalities, although they have not yet specified the positions on the lists by ensuring that there are no preconditions, nor if it will go to number three on the Zaragoza list.
“I will be where my colleagues tell me”, said García, who has coincided with Domínguez in the “sadness” that leaving Cs has caused him, who in his opinion has lost everything that made them “fall in love” and “navigates aimlessly”.
