Madrid (EFE).- The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has today called for aid for the crew of the vessels affected by the suspension of the fishing agreement between the European Union and Morocco, which will amount to up to 182,000 euros.
The call has been made public this Tuesday in the Official State Gazette (BOE), in which it has been specified that the maximum amount of the aid may reach 100% of the total eligible, with a contribution from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund of 50%.
The other 50% will correspond to the national contribution in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU).
Spanish fishermen, nationals of the Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, and foreigners who have valid residence and work authorizations embarked on Spanish fishing vessels may benefit from this aid.
The maximum term for the presentation of the applications will be 15 working days from the publication of the extract of the call in the Official State Gazette.
For those applicants whose stops end after the entry into force of this call, the period of 15 business days will begin the day after the end of the single stop or the second stop they have made, which will end on 30 February at the latest. September 2023.
