The president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, signed the 2023-2027 Employment Strategy this Tuesday with the regional secretaries of the CCOO, Paco de la Rosa, and the UGT, Luis Manuel Monforte, and the president of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Castilla-La Mancha (Cecam), Ángel Nicolás, in a ceremony held at the Fuensalida Palace where the Minister of Economy, Business and Employment, Patricia Franco, has outlined the main objectives and measures.
The budget for this initiative almost reaches 1,100 million euros, to favor the employment of groups with difficulties such as young people, women, older workers and people with disabilities, said the regional president.
He has stressed that the nearly 60,000 jobs that will be created each year thanks to this strategy are just the jobs that have it most difficult, but he has been convinced that many more jobs will be generated in that period.
García-Page has added that he calculates that the current unemployment rate of 14% will be able to go from around 10% in the next legislature and has also warned of the need to solve the problem of lack of workers in certain sectors such as hospitality or logistics, which has to do with training and requalification.

The social agents emphasize that the focus is placed on people
The regional secretary of UGT, Luis Manuel Monforte, has highlighted that the Strategy for Employment will favor conciliation, entrepreneurship, talent retention, requalification and generational change and equality; leaving behind neither young people nor people with disabilities nor rural areas; At the same time, it will facilitate a job orientation focused on the needs and potential of people.
In this sense, the regional secretary of the CCOO, Paco de la Rosa, has proposed having a regional public employment service, with its own autonomy, to improve the intermediation system, something that the regional president has shown is willing to reach an agreement on. agreement between the State, the autonomous community and the social agents.
And the president of Cecam, Ángel Nicolás, has also been in favor of this initiative and, in addition, has stressed the importance of having quality professional training, with qualified staff that make companies more competitive.
He has also asked to match the offer with the needs of the companies and have aid for the self-employed to facilitate hiring and replacement.
