Madrid (EFE).- Consumer confidence rose again in May for the second consecutive month, mainly due to the positive evolution of its two variables: the assessment of the current situation and also of future expectations.
According to the monthly index of the Center for Sociological Research (CIS), the indicator has risen 8.5 points compared to April, to 81.5 points, still below 100 – which marks the beginning of the positive perception of consumers -.
This increase in the index is due to the improvement of its two components: the assessment of the current situation, which has risen 8.7 points compared to April, and the assessment of future expectations, which has increased by 8.4 points. in the last month.
