Barcelona/Madrid (EFE).- The Open University of Catalonia (UOC) and the EFE Agency have opened the registration period for the fourth edition of the International Mobile Journalism Awards (MOJO), which adds Innova to its title to integrate the latest trends and new categories in the dissemination of information.
With the sponsorship of Vueling and the collaboration of Espacio Fundación Telefónica, the MoJo Innova Awards will unite this time in the same act, on September 26 at the Espacio Fundación Telefónica in Madrid, both the awards ceremony and the VII Conference on Mobile Journalism, which were done separately.
Participants will be able to submit to the contest, until September 10, 2023, their journalistic coverage prepared from a mobile device in the categories “Best national coverage” and “Best international coverage (Vueling)”.
Among the participation requirements of these two categories, active professionals, who work for others or as freelancers, whose work has been published online by some means of communication or platform, may participate in the contest, individually or collectively. Internet between October 1, 2022 and September 1, 2023.
Two new awards and a new logo
The winners of the two professional categories will receive a prize worth one thousand euros, as well as one thousand two hundred and fifty euros in plane tickets.
In addition, the fourth edition of these awards will award two new prizes that are not in competition: the category of journalistic excellence and the category of the public.
For this occasion, the design of the logo of these awards has also been renewed, which seek to promote excellence in mobile journalism and stimulate its practice among professionals in the trade around the world, with special attention to journalistic innovation, research and experimentation of the latest technological tools.
The organization will officially communicate the participants selected for the contest, valuing the original approach in the approach, the innovation of the mobile narrative, the informative interest, the sources used, the journalistic rigor and the ethical treatment of the information to choose the winners.
