Santander (EFE) The lawyer and former soccer player Manuel Higuera is already the new president of the Real Racing Club, a position he held between June 14, 2015 and June 5, 2018.
Higuera was appointed at the meeting of the board of directors of the Cantabrian entity held this Monday. In addition, eight directors were appointed at the meeting, including Higuera himself, and the resignations of the previous members of the governing body were accepted.
These changes occur after the completion of the sale process of the club’s majority shareholding package to the company Sebman Sports Internacional, owned by Higuera and the Argentine mathematician and businessman Sebastián Ceria.
That shareholding package was until now owned by Alfredo Pérez and Pedro Ortiz, who held the positions of president and vice president.
Higuera, born in Santander on February 14, 1964, played for Racing during the 1980s. He currently combines his work as a lawyer with his business activity at the head of the Higuerasa firm. In addition, he is a member of the Futbox sports school.
