Logroño, (EFE).- A device made up of 734 agents will ensure the normal development of election day in La Rioja next Sunday, July 23, the Government delegate in La Rioja, Beatríz Arraiz, reported this Wednesday.
Agents of the National Police, Civil Guard and Local Police of the Autonomous Community will form this device to guarantee citizen security and the exercise of rights and freedoms during voting day in these general elections.
Specifically, the National Police will deploy a total of 133 agents, while in the Civil Guard there will be 557 troops, to which 44 from the Local Police will be added.
Arraiz has indicated that the State Security Forces and Corps will work, as in previous elections, so that this electoral process can be carried out without mishaps, “guaranteeing the right to vote for citizens.”
For this reason, he thanked “the important work that they carry out every day of the year and, especially, on days as important as the holding of elections.”
In this way, they will guarantee that the 516 polling stations set up in La Rioja can open on time and election day runs normally.
The device will begin at 00:00 on the 23rd and will last until 9:00 on the 24th.
Added to these personnel are the personnel dedicated to the organization of these general elections.
In this way, the Government delegate has specified that 3,682 people, without counting the substitute members of the polling stations, will participate in this process.
