Logroño, (EFE).- The Government of La Rioja has published a resolution on Tuesday that limits the carrying out of agricultural, leisure and recreational work due to the risk of forest fire that they entail.
Thus, the use of harvesters, packers and other agricultural machines capable of generating deflagrations with temperatures above 42 degrees and wind speeds greater than 20 meters per second is prohibited.
The resolution establishes the manner and conditions in which recreational activities that involve the use of fire will be carried out, including the prohibition of the use of non-approved grills on rustic land and the use of rockets, fireworks or pyrotechnic material on those same locations or that can reach rustic land.
From this Tuesday until November 15, the burning of plant remains of forest, agricultural or garden origin are suspended; and conditions are established for the maintenance and construction of basic infrastructures, such as road clearing.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, the Rural World and the Environment has a web page that shows maps with updated information on temperature and wind speed, which makes it easier for farmers to make decisions about the suitability or otherwise of carry out certain agricultural tasks, the regional government has detailed in a note.
For its part, the La Rioja PSOE, in a statement, has stated that the regional government fails to comply with the state forestry law by lowering the requirement and the hazard analysis of the risk of fire.
