Zaragoza (EFE).- Princess Leonor visits the General Military Academy of Zaragoza for the first time this Friday to accompany Felipe VI in the delivery of dispatches to the new officers of the Army, a month and a half before entering this center to start his three-year military training.
The heir to the throne will begin her career at the Academy of Zaragoza on August 17, so today’s event (11:30 am) is a first contact.
In addition to Felipe VI, with Leonor de Borbón there will be Queen Letizia, who does not usually attend the deliveries of military dispatches, the Defense Minister, Margarita Robles, and the acting president of the Government of Aragon, Javier Lambán.
The heir to the throne, who turns 18 on October 31, takes another step in her institutional career with her premiere at the ceremony of military diplomas on the verge of enrolling in the Zaragoza academy.
“I am about to start a new stage with a period of military training. Beyond my responsibility, I am happy because I know how much the Spanish value our Armed Forces. It is an important moment in my life and I am looking forward to it”, said the eldest daughter of the king and queen last Wednesday at the Princess of Girona awards ceremony.
