Madrid, Jul 3 (EFE).- The PP candidate for the presidency of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, has stated that future parliamentary agreements with Vox will “respect” this party and its voters, and even that some of its commitments can be implemented.
“That parliamentary agreements can be reached, because they are going to be necessary, respecting Vox and its voters, and that some of its commitments can be implemented, of course,” López Miras told the press this Monday at a meeting in La Reason.
He has confirmed that the first negotiation meeting between the PP and Vox will “possibly” take place this Tuesday, two days before the debate for his inauguration will take place on July 6 and 7.
In this sense, López Miras has remarked that in this negotiation “it is not a matter of giving in” but of reaching a “reasonable, proportional and fair” agreement that respects the result of the 28M elections.
At the same time, he has also contrasted the two options that exist: the first, to form a “continuity” government and the second, a blockade by the PSOE, Vox and Podemos, although he has continued that “with the electoral result” they can reach a programmatic agreement that gives stability to the legislature.
López Miras has 21 of the 23 seats needed to have an absolute majority and be elected in the first round.
