Madrid (EFE).- More than half a million viewers have seen “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” in Spanish theaters, the fifth and final adventure of the archaeologist played by Harrison Ford, which hit theaters last day 28.
The film has raised 130 million dollars worldwide in its first exhibition weekend, a figure that rises to 152 million since the day of its premiere, according to data from the specialized website Box Office Mojo.
And in Spain the figure has been 3.5 million euros in the five days it has been in theaters, with a market share of 53% on the weekend, Disney has reported in a statement.
The film has been number one in countries like France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Australia and Argentina.
Some figures far from the absolute world box office record for the first weekend, held by “Avengers: Endgame” (2019), with 357 million dollars, according to Box Office Mojo.
Ford gets into Indy’s skin for the last time in a film directed by James Mangold -thus replacing Steven Spielberg, who took care of the first four- and in which he is accompanied by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Karen Allen, Antonio Flags or John Rhys-Davies.
