Kiev (EFE).- The Ukrainian Air Force announced this Friday the interception last night of 13 Russian cruise missiles, some of which were directed against a military airfield in the Khmelnitski region of western Ukraine.
“On the night of June 23, 2023, the adversary launched an attack on Ukraine from strategic aviation aircraft. This time the attack was directed at a military airfield in the Khmelnitsky Oblast (province), ”reads the Ukrainian Air Force report.
Also intercepted a reconnaissance drone
According to the note, the launches were carried out around midnight from the Caspian Sea area with four Tu-95MS bombers.
“All 13 Kh-101 and Kh-555 cruise missiles were destroyed by anti-aircraft defenses, most of them in the Khmelnitsky region,” the Ukrainian Air Force also says.
In addition to the cruise missiles, the Ukrainian army also intercepted a reconnaissance drone last night.
