Santander, (EFE) of July.
The entity that represents the hoteliers of Cantabria has explained in a statement that with this measure it wants visitors to feel “supported” and have the “necessary flexibility” to adapt their travel plans to the elections and their responsibility as citizens.
Notify 7 days in advance
To cancel reservations, tourists must notify us with a maximum margin of 7 days in advance and prove that they have been appointed president or member of the electoral table.
This will allow accommodations to expedite the process to cancel their reservation and guarantee that they receive a full refund or a change of dates.
“We want to encourage active participation and ensure that tourists are not hindered in their civic duty due to economic concerns associated with the cancellation of their reservations in accommodation in Cantabria,” stressed the association of Cantabrian hoteliers.
When are the tables drawn?
The city councils begin this Thursday, June 22, the draws to choose the more than 543,000 members, between holders and substitutes, who will make up the polling stations for the July 23 elections.
As of that designation, citizens will have a period of seven days from when they are officially notified of their obligation to claim their assistance.
The plenary sessions of the Spanish consistories have until June 28 to carry out these draws in which a president and two members are chosen for each table, in addition to two other substitutes for each of them.
For the July 23 elections, the Ministry of the Interior plans to set up around 60,340 polling stations throughout Spain and install some 210,000 ballot boxes and 59,000 booths.
