Madrid (EFE).- Twelve communities continue this Wednesday on alert for rains and strong storms, with special incidence in Aragón, both Castillas, Navarra, the Basque Country and La Rioja, where there is an orange warning (significant risk) for an accumulated rainfall of 30 liters in an hour.
Aragon has an orange warning in the provinces of Huesca and Zaragoza due to rains that will leave 30 liters in an hour and due to storms in parts of the Pyrenees, south and center of Huesca and in the Cinco Villas, where “big hail” is likely, reports the Aemet on its website.
In Castilla y León, the orange warning for rain and storms with hail will affect the provinces of Burgos and Soria with accumulations of 30 liters in one hour, while in Palencia and Segovia there is a yellow alert (risk) for rainfall that will accumulate 15 liters In an hour.
In Castilla-La Mancha, only the province of Albacete has activated the orange warning for storms with heavy hail in the areas of Hellín, Almansa, Alcaraz and Segura; In the rest of the community there is a yellow warning for storms and rains with a rainfall of 15 liters in one hour.
In the northern half of the peninsula, the communities of Navarra, the Basque Country and La Rioja are in orange due to rains that will accumulate 30 liters in one hour and due to a high probability of hail, which in points of Navarra can be “adverse”.
Andalusia, Cantabria, Catalonia, the Community of Madrid, the Region of Murcia and the Valencian Community maintain the yellow warning (risk) due to rains that will oscillate between 15 and 20 liters in one hour; In the Balearic Islands, Mallorca is in yellow due to heat with highs of up to 37 degrees.
The Aemet warns that with the orange alert there is a risk of unusual meteorological phenomena and with a certain degree of danger for usual activities, and with the yellow alert there is no meteorological risk for the population in general, although there is for some specific activity.
