Madrid (EFE).- The State Meteorological Agency Aemet (Aemet) has activated this Sunday the orange alert in Andalusia, Aragon and Navarra due to heat, which is yellow in seven other autonomous communities.
In addition, the risk of storms supposes the yellow warning also in Andalusia and Aragon, as well as in Castilla-La Mancha and the region of Murcia. Alert of the same level in areas of the Canary Islands due to coastal phenomena.
In Andalusia, the orange warning affects Córdoba, due to the significant risk of reaching 40 degrees in the Cordoba countryside, and it is yellow for maximum temperatures of up to 38 in the Cordoba subbética. Some alerts that are activated from 1:00 p.m.
From that same time, in Granada there will be an orange level warning in the Genil basin, where it can reach 40 degrees, while in the Guadix and Baza area the warning is yellow due to temperatures of up to 39 degrees and the possibility of very strong gusts associated with storms, which are mostly expected to be dry.
In Jaén, the significant risk of reaching 40 degrees activates the orange warning in the Guadalquivir valley, which remains at a yellow level in other areas of the province due to temperatures between 38 and 39 degrees and possible dry storms in Cazorla and Segura.
Orange alert in Aragon
Orange level alert in Aragón, for temperatures of up to 39 degrees in Cinco Villas and the banks of the Ebro, both in Zaragoza and in the latter area the warning is also yellow due to storms that may be accompanied by hail and strong gusts of wind.
In the south of Huesca, the yellow level is due to the risk of temperatures of up to 36 degrees, while in lower Aragón de Teruel the warning is yellow for temperatures of up to 38 degrees and storms.

In the Balearic Islands, temperatures of up to 37 degrees activate the yellow warning in the Balearic Islands, specifically in the interior and south of Mallorca. In Castilla-La Mancha, yellow notice for temperatures of up to 38 degrees in areas of Ciudad Real, between 34 and 36 degrees in Cuenca and 36 in the Alcarría de Guadalajara. In Albacete, in addition to the possibility that the thermometer reaches 36 degrees, the alert is also yellow due to the risk of storms, mainly dry.
