Madrid, June 17 (EFE).- Nearly 8,130 municipalities constitute their town halls this Saturday, a day in which the turn of the polls in favor of the PP will be confirmed, which has tripled the capitals in which it will govern, while the PSOE He has gone from directing twenty-two to just ten.
A few hours after the local Executives are formed and after several weeks of negotiations, there are still unknowns about who will govern in Barcelona, Ourense, Pamplona and Vitoria, since the formations have not reached any agreement.
In the regional power map for the next four years, the PP will govern in at least thirty of the 52 provincial capitals -it achieved an absolute majority in 28-; the PSOE, up to ten, and Vox will be present in six capitals after agreeing with the popular.
In Seville, Valencia, Huesca, Cáceres, Zaragoza, Castellón, Alicante, Palma or Albacete, the PP will try to govern alone, reaching specific agreements with Vox.
For its part, the formation led by Santiago Abascal has managed to enter 140 government teams and will co-govern with the PP in Burgos, Toledo, Guadalajara, Valladolid and Ciudad Real. In all of them, except in Ciudad Real, the PSOE was the force with the most votes on 28M.
Unknowns a few hours after the constitution of the municipalities
– Barcelona: The bases of JxCat and ERC will have the last word on an eventual agreement between Xavier Trias -the most voted list- and Ernest Maragall to govern jointly in Barcelona, in a consultation with the militancy in the case of Junts per Catalunya and in an extraordinary congress of federation on the part of the republicans.
– Ourense: The investiture in Ourense continues in the air, with no clear candidate to take over the mayoralty. This election could be delayed beyond tomorrow because the appeal filed with the Electoral Board has not yet been resolved.
– Vitoria: Except for surprises, it will have the first female mayor in its history, the socialist Maider Etxebarria, thanks to the support of the PNV and the “free” votes of the PP to prevent EH Bildu, the most voted list, from governing.
– Pamplona: EH Bildu has reiterated its offer to set up a “progressive, left-wing and plural government” in Pamplona together with the Socialist Party, Geroa Bai and Contigo Zurekin, and has asked PSN that, if it does not accept, “do not block the way ” to a government of the other three.
