By sea, 10,348 foreigners have arrived in 498 vessels, due to the reduction in the flow of small boats to the Canary Islands, which show a decrease of 31.5% compared to the same period of the previous year (8,628 in 2022, 5,914 in 2023).
Regarding the entries to the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands by sea, they have grown by 25.2% compared to last year (from 3,491 to 4,369).
The number of immigrants arriving irregularly in Ceuta and Melilla jumping the border fence dropped by 66%, especially due to the stoppage in Melilla (94.5%), where last year there were several massive jumps.
In that autonomous city, the entry of 52 foreigners has been registered until June 15, compared to 954 last year. In Ceuta the drop is 5.4%, going from 448 people to 424.
By sea, the data from fifteen days ago of 22 people arriving in Ceuta and 43 in Melilla (3 more than on June 1) is maintained. EFE
