The president of the PP of Extremadura, Maria Guardiolahas been “convinced” that her formation will reach an agreement with Vox in the negotiation that both formations maintain with a view to the next regional government, negotiations that she prefers to keep “private” until that agreement is closed.
To questions from the media before meeting with officials from the Badajoz Chamber of Commerce, Guardiola wanted to convey to the people of Extremadura that they “have peace of mind” that “the objective is to fulfill what was committed by the PP, embodied in a government program that will be respected.”
As stated by the president of the Extremaduran PP, there will be more meetings this week with Vox.
In relation to whether members of Vox will enter the regional government, Guardiola has explained that “it will be seen when the agreement is closed”, and in this sense “it will be possible to assess” if he has changed his opinion in this regard or if he will maintain “what he said” in recent weeks. As for the meeting already held with Vox, she has stated that it has taken place in a “cordial” tone, convinced that the voters of this formation subscribe to “close to 90 percent” of the measures proposed by the PP, without having spoken , however, of issues such as the Abortion Law.
Guardiola has expressed that “on top of the table, the subject of debate, there will always be the interest of the people of Extremadura”, in order to reach an agreement “as soon as possible” because he is not “in a hurry” but he is “willing” to launch the measures that “Extremadura needs to get out of inertia, abandonment and inaction”.
VOX
For his part, the general secretary of Vox, Ignacio Garriga, has assured this Monday that they will negotiate with the PP “until the last minute” to prevent left-wing governments, but has warned that their “pulse will not tremble” if the lack of The agreement leads to the government of the list with the most votes in the city councils or to repeat elections in some autonomy.
PSOE
The regional spokesperson of the PSOE, Soraya Vegahas asked Guardiola “not to be ashamed” and to explain to the people of Extremadura about the negotiations he is carrying out with VOX and to clarify “how long he plans to trade with the government of Extremadura”. https://www.psoeextremadura. com/the-pp-should-hide-less-and-explain-more-its-negotiations-with-vox/
At a press conference, the socialist spokesperson recalled that the acting president of the Board, Guillermo Fernández Vara, has already signed the decree for the constitution of the new Assembly, “as soon as it has been possible” with the objective and interest of Do not delay the times or “extend the processes” to help political stability.
“The people of Extremadura do not deserve to lose weeks in a political limbo”, said Soraya Vega, who has urged “those who live in the house of trouble -PP and VOX-” to clarify why the governability of Extremadura “is not a game”.
