Madrid (EFE) who have made this decision.
This is how Puig has pronounced himself in the Federal Committee of the PSOE, which ratifies this Saturday its lists of candidates for the elections headed by the President of the Government and party leader, Pedro Sánchez, and with the presence of up to twelve ministers, although the latest changes time have generated controversy.
Puig goes to the committee, as he has said, with a “positive spirit” because Spain is playing something fundamental and because the elections “are going to be final” for the progress or decline of the country.
The important thing, in his opinion, is that Pedro Sánchez have the greatest possible support to continue “social prosperity and progress” and a stage -he added- “of undoubted progress”.
“At this moment, the most important thing is the project, what we are at stake”, has had an impact when asked repeatedly about the changes in the list of the Valencian socialists.
REGIONAL RESULT
“Beyond this -he continued-, I feel represented by more than 700,000 people from the Valencian Community, which has obtained the best result in 16 years. We have gone up five points. It is the community where the PSOE has risen the most and today I feel absolutely endorsed by the citizens”.
Puig has assured that he is going to dedicate himself to proposing an alternative and his future involves defending the interests of the Valencian Community, now in opposition, but “with loyalty” to the Government that leaves the Valencian Parliament and supporting what he can so that Sánchez continues to be the Prime Minister.
He has also been asked about the absence of some socialist leaders on the committee and has made it clear that each one “is responsible for their decisions”, that he has always shown his face and that when he has not been able to attend it is for some institutional reason.
The leader of the Valencian socialists has said he believes in the values that led him to join the PSOE more than 40 years ago and these, in his opinion, have to do with “unity, humility, solidarity and not with arrogance, nor narcissism.
ADD AND WE CAN
Regarding the agreement between Sumar and Podemos for the purple formation to form part of the electoral coalition, Puig has considered it positive since he understands that it could avoid the loss of votes for Compromís and Podemos in the Valencian Community.
“I think that there is a strong base so that even in my community there can be a progressive majority that emerged from this general election,” he concluded.
