Moscow (EFE).- The Ukrainian forces have carried out offensive operations with different results in at least three sectors of the front, according to the daily report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Thus, the “think tank” (group of experts) highlights that the Ukrainian troops went from defending to attacking on the Bakhmut front, where they managed to advance between 200 meters and almost two kilometers on the flanks of the city.
Furthermore, the ISW notes that the Ukrainians made “tactical breakthroughs” during localized and limited counter-attacks in the western Donetsk region since June 4.
In the western part of the southern Zaporizhia region, on the night of June 7-8. Ukrainian forces also carried out attacks, but apparently without the desired result.
The analytical center details that the Russian troops offered solid resistance in that sector and recovered their initial positions in the area.
However, he assures that the attacks launched so far do not represent the Ukrainian capabilities within the framework of the current counteroffensive.
Three wounded in overnight attacks in Belgorod
In the Russian region of Belgorod, bordering Ukraine, the local governor, Viacheslav Gladkov, has reported several night attacks in which three people were injured.
“Three citizens were injured at night. One of them refused to be hospitalized and the other two are hospitalized,” Gladkov wrote on Telegram without specifying the location of the attacks.
It has also ensured that the town of Shebékino, one of the most affected by shots from the other side of the border, is still under constant fire.
