Madrid (EFE) Elisabet Benavent’s novels.
The new chapters follow the line of romantic comedy but speak “of many things, and all from a very realistic point of view, very credible, very current, which I think will make the viewer feel very close to the series,” says Benavent to EFE.
“But it also talks about doubts about romantic love or how difficult it is to reconcile personal life with professional life,” he adds.
However, Benavent (Gandía, Valencia, 1984) points out that in reality this last season could be summed up as being a “song to love”. “It is a beautiful love story between four friends who will always have each other and who choose each other above all else,” he clarifies.
Valeria will wage various fronts
In this last part, the girls will have to deal with various fronts: Valeria (Diana Gómez) will have to address, on the one hand, the reality of her relationship with Víctor (Maxi Iglesias), who has made it clear that he wants to be with her only with certain conditions. And, on the other, the arrival of Bruno Aguilar (Federico Aguado) at the publishing house, one of the “best-selling” authors of the moment.
Lola (Silma López), who wants to go on a trip to Vienna to reconcile with her mother, managed to forget Sergio. The complete opposite of Nerea (Teresa Riott) who is frustrated because she can’t find a stable partner.
Meanwhile, Carmen (Paula Malia) continues with the preparations for her wedding with Borja (Juanlu González) and is experiencing a good professional moment.
One of the strong points of fiction, according to the actresses, is that it talks about the internal crises that their characters face when they turn 30.
“It’s a trip. And in the end, either you have to make or you are pushed to make decisions. You are asked many questions, especially as a woman: ‘Do you want to be a mother? You want to have children? How do you combine being a successful professional woman with your personal life?’. I think it’s very nice to play the characters, but because we share that vital space”, admits Malia.
Benevent closes a stage
For the writer, who began writing “Valeria” when she was 24 years old, the end of the series closes a “very important” stage of her life.
“I don’t have a feeling of farewell, but of nostalgia. For me ‘Valeria’ will always be very alive, but the circle had to close; and having done it with her accompanying her these years in such a beautiful way and seeing the path we have traveled together, has been very special ”, she says.
Without revealing anything about how the end will be, Riott advances that it concludes in a “precious and super emotional” way: “We cry -the four laugh-. I think that the person who has followed the series since the first season and sits down to watch it will have that nostalgic effect, but it will leave a good taste in their mouths because it is a series full of love and color. They are going to enjoy it, ”he confesses.
Benavent, who has managed to sell close to four million copies of the “Valeria” books, and who reconciled with the “fans” of the novels in the second season, already has another audiovisual project underway that will hit the platform on next July based on “A perfect tale”.
