Pamplona (EFE).- The Cáritas tombola has raised the blinds this Saturday with the sale of a total of 2.3 million tickets. There are 300,000 more than in 2022, of which 345,000 will have direct prizes, including five cars.
This is the 78th edition of this traditional event in Pamplona, which is considered one more step in the Sanfermines countdown (the tombola closes on July 15). It has been inaugurated by the Archbishop of Pamplona and Bishop of Tudela, Francisco Pérez, with a blessing attended by representatives of the Pamplona City Council with the mayor, Enrique Maya, at the helm, and the Provincial Government, with various councilors together with the Vice President Javier Remirez.
Emotional memory for the late Ángel Iriarte
The acting director of Cáritas, Maite Quintana, has also attended on behalf of the organizers and the hundred volunteers who will attend the raffle these days on Paseo de Sarasate, where today there was a special and emotional memory for the recently deceased director , Angel Iriarte.
As for the prizes that will be distributed this year, there will be 345,000 direct ones, including five cars. In addition, there will be 575,000 “gather” type tickets and 1,380,000 with draw numbers, all with a price of one euro for each ticket, which can also be paid by card.
The 23 raffle prizes are as many purchase vouchers worth 3,000 euros to use in the shops of the Association of the Old Town of Pamplona. The amount has increased by 500 euros compared to the previous edition, in which they were 2,500.
This year, the raffle will be open from Saturday May 27 to Saturday July 15
