New York (EFE).- The Republican congressman from New York George Santos, famous for the web of falsehoods he concocted to be elected, was arrested and charged with thirteen charges, according to the Department of Justice.
The thirteen charges have to do with crimes of fraud, money laundering, theft of public funds and false testimony, according to the official document.
Santos will appear this afternoon before a federal judge in the district of Central Islip, in Suffolk County, in eastern New York.
