Soria (EFE) in the City of Soria.
They identify equally with Don Quixote and with Sancho Panza, they contribute to the household chores but with different distributions, and they have both received a traffic ticket.
In order to find out the more humane and casual side of the main candidates for Soria Mayor’s Office, the EFE Agency has asked them a common questionnaire about things that, in principle, have little to do with politics.
Carlos Martinez (PSOE) and Bethlehem Left (PP)
1) Question (Q).- When you get sick, do you self-medicate?
- Martínez: “I am chronically ill. I have Crohn’s disease and medication practically every week”
- Left: “Like all Spaniards, what I can or what I dare”
2) (Q).- How many relatives do you have unemployed?
- Martínez: “Direct relatives, two. My sister and my niece.”
- Left: “None.”
3) (Q).- With which character from Don Quixote do you most identify?
- Martínez: “Sometimes Sancho, sometimes Quixote. It depends on the moment”.
- Left: “Well, it goes on for days. There are times when I am Don Quixote and there are many times when I am also Sancho”.
4) (P).- When distributing tasks at home, what are you in charge of?
- Martínez: “A bit of everything. I believe in co-responsibility and task sharing. There is no specific distribution, when it’s time to do, I do everything ”.
- Left: “Well, here we go right now to what we can. But generally electrical appliances are my specialty”.
5) (Q).- Your last plane trip, where did you go and what motivated you?
- Martínez: “To Rabat, in the Alliance of Civilizations, in November of last year.”
- Left: “We went to Paris with the children. The first time they rode in an airplane. We went to Eurodisney, which owed it to him”.
6) (Q).- Who was your idol when you were young?
- Martínez: “I am not an idol. If I idolize someone, it’s my parents.”

- Martínez: “The best inheritance is honesty. And the best memories, which I try to last for a long time, are picnics or fishing days with the family”.

- Martínez: “Yes, several.”
- Left: “One, in San Esteban de Gormaz. Discrepancy with a civil guard. Little one, I haven’t had any more.”
9) (Q).- How long has it been since you went to the movies? What movie did she see?
- Martínez: “Well, not long ago. At the end of March or beginning of April. With the kids, the little ones. “Dungeons & Dragons, Honor among thieves.”
- Left: “On my son’s birthday, in February, I celebrate it at the cinema. And I don’t remember what the movie was.”
10) (Q).- Did you work while you were studying at the university, did you have a scholarship or did your family pay for your studies?
- Martínez: “I worked and had a scholarship.”
- Left: “My parents paid me for my studies and I refereed (soccer) for my expenses.”
