Madrid (EFE).- The 45,000 officials of the administration of Justice are called this Thursday to a new 24-hour general strike and a rally at noon in front of the Ministry to demand “a decent salary increase in line with the functions they perform daily”, of “between 350 and 430 euros” per month.
After a massive demonstration that toured the center of Madrid on April 19, it will be the second time that court and tribunal officials have gathered at the gates of Justice since their mobilizations began two and a half weeks ago.
From April 17 to Wednesday of last week, the CSIF, STAJ, CCOO and UGT unions held partial daily strikes of three hours.
They changed them for specific days of total strike to increase pressure on the Government, which this Wednesday offered 44.5 million euros to improve the salaries of judges and prosecutors in an attempt to avoid the indefinite strike with which they have threatened from day 16
In addition to this Thursday, the unions have called 24-hour strikes on May 9, 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18 and do not rule out that these will become a daily indefinite strike if they continue without receiving a remuneration offer from of the Ministry.
In their last appearance last week, they called for the resignation of Pilar Llop and announced that they were going to transfer a “formal petition” to the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, for the dismissal of the minister for being “a zero to the left” in the Executive, in the words of the person in charge of Justice of CCOO, Luis Calero.
Likewise, they demanded the intervention of the Ministry of Finance and Public Function to unblock the negotiations with an economic offer, a “fundamental premise” to continue with the dialogue.
