The 112 Emergency Service of the Government of Cantabria advises extreme caution before the activation by the State Meteorological Agency of this alert for the late afternoon and tomorrow night.
Specifically, this level of risk will be activated between 8:00 p.m. and the end of the day.
Given the forecast of strong gusts of wind, 112 recommends closing and securing doors, windows or awnings; remove pots and all external objects that could fall onto the public road and cause an accident.
He also advises avoiding wooded areas; stay away from cornices, walls or trees that could detach; avoid going through buildings under construction or in poor condition, and take extreme precautions when traveling by road, mainly on viaducts and tunnel exits.
Given the possible arrival of rough seas, it also requests citizens to stay away from boardwalks, beaches, breakwaters and other places close to the coastline; to avoid parking vehicles in areas that may be affected by waves; and that they respect at all times the security cordons and the fences authorized by the relevant authorities.
Likewise, citizens are urged to call 112 as soon as possible in the event of any incident to seek rapid intervention.
