Las Palmas De Gran Canaria (EFE).- Salvamento Marítimo has rescued 235 people this morning on the Canary route, including at least 25 women and 3 girls, of whom 121 have already been disembarked at the Gran Tarajal dock (Fuerteventura ) and another 114 are taken to Arguineguín (Gran Canaria).
After 1:00 am, and 45 kilometers east of Fuerteventura, the Salvamar Mizar rescued 121 occupants of two inflatable boats, all of sub-Saharan origin, including 25 women and three girls.
All were disembarked in Gran Tarajal where, with the exception of the women, they have spent the night in the open in the same port facilities, according to sources from the emergency services have assured EFE, who have also highlighted that among those counted as adult women there may be a dozen minors who would join the three girls.
This rescue has been followed by another to the southeast of Gran Canaria carried out by the Guardamar Caliope, whose crew has rescued another 114 people who were sailing in two other inflatable boats.
It is expected that these people will be disembarked at 09:00 at the Arguineguín dock. EFE
