Madrid (EFE).- The inflation rate has fallen to 3.3% in March, 2.7 points below that of February and the lowest since August 2021, due to the evolution of energy, which in March last year it went off at the start of the Ukrainian war.
According to the advance data of the consumer price index (CPI) published this Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), this sharp decrease in the rate of rise in prices is due to the fall in electricity and fuels that increased in March 2022 and this month they decrease.
As regards underlying inflation -the general index excluding unprocessed food and energy products-, it decreased by one tenth, to 7.5%.
