Oviedo, Feb 18 (EFE).- Asturias registered fourteen forest fires early in the morning in eleven municipalities of the community, whose evolution will be reviewed throughout the day, reports the Principality’s Emergency Service.
Since yesterday there have been fires in Pomar de las Montañas and Parada Vieja, in Cangas del Narcea; Happy, in Aller; Perabeles de Abajo, in San Martín del Rey Aurelio; Cuñaba, in Peñamellera Baja; Iboyo, in Allande; and that of Serandi, in Proaza, where a fire has also been declared today in Linares.
In the council of Sobrescobio, a fire has been declared in Soto de Agues and another in Campiellos, while in Somiedo one more has been registered in Valle del Lago.
Another has been located in the municipality of Salas in the Cermoño area, as well as on Mount Derrabau, in the council of Ponga. and another one in Cezana, in the municipality of Belmonte de Miranda.
The Principality activated the Forest Fire Plan (INFOPA) last Wednesday in the emergency phase in situation 0 given the weather forecast for the coming days and the possibility that the number of fires could increase.
