Oviedo (EFE).- 98 percent of Asturian industrial companies expect to maintain employment in the coming months, according to the latest monthly survey carried out by the Asturian Society for Economic and Industrial Studies (Sadei) corresponding to December, which also reflects a improvement in production prospects.
It is the same result that the previous survey showed, with only 1 percent of the companies that predicted a job cut and another that was expected.
The latest survey does reflect an improvement in production prospects, since 96 percent expect to maintain it and 3 percent even increase it, while a month before, 25 percent expected a reduction, a proportion that is now reduced to 1 percent.
The vast majority of companies expect to maintain the order book and the stock of finished products, 99 percent in both cases.
The survey also points to a stabilization of prices, since 91 percent expect them to remain and only 9 percent expect new increases, a percentage that in November rose to 31 percent.
The Asturian industry estimated the insured work period in December at 112 days, two less than in November.
With all this, the Industrial Climate Indicator of Asturias (ICIA) prepared by Sadei, which synthesizes the information on all these variables, has risen from 6 to 15.7, “pushed by the improvement in production forecasts”. EFE
