Valencia (EFE).- The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has established an orange alert for this Tuesday in the three provinces of the Community, due to coastal phenomena on the coast of Valencia and the north coast of Alicante, and due to snow and precipitation of up to 100 liters per square meter in the interior of Castellón.
Aemet has activated the orange alert for snow, with cumulative amounts of 20 centimeters in 24 hours -from 2:00 p.m.- in the northern interior of Castellón, where rains of 100 liters per square meter are also expected from 10:00 p.m. twelve hours.
The orange alert has also been activated in the southern interior of Castellón due to the accumulation of 10 centimeters of snow in 24 hours; and on the coast of Valencia and the north coast of Alicante by waves of 4 meters with northeasterly winds of 50 to 60 km/h (force 7).
In addition, there is a yellow alert for rain in the northern interior of Castellón, with accumulated amounts of 80 l/m2 in twelve hours, which can be accompanied by storms and occasionally strong intensities; and 60 l/m2 on the coast.
There is also a yellow alert for snowfall this afternoon (from 6:00 p.m.) in the northern interior of Valencia, with accumulations of 4 centimeters in 12 hours from 700-900 meters; due to northeast winds of up to 70 km/h on the coast of Castellón and the north coast of Valencia, and due to coastal phenomena in the three provinces, with winds of 50 to 60 km/h (force 7) and waves of 3 meters high. height.
Warning of persistent rains in the north of Alicante and south of Valencia
Aemet also reports that, with such a northerly wind flow, at dawn the precipitations have concentrated in the north of Alicante and the south of Valencia, where they have been persistent, although weak during the early morning.
In addition, the snow level in this area has been at 900-1000 meters.

Snowplow in the interior of Castellón

The Isaack storm is now in the vicinity of the Balearic Islands. In this position, the wind in the Region is very northerly and, except in the north of Alicante and south of Valencia, the storm protects the rest from the entry of humid maritime air.

Regarding the minimum temperatures, Ademuz (Valencia) has registered the lowest with -3.7 degrees, followed by Utiel with -1.6º; Castellfort (Castellón) -1.1º: Vilafranca -0.5º and La Pobla de Benifassà-Fredes -0.4º.
