Seville, (EFE).- The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has ruled out any national aspiration this Wednesday because the PP has “a very good president” in Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who is convinced that he will reach La Moncloa , and above all because he has “a commitment to Andalusia.”
Moreno has assured that his work will be in charge of the regional Executive and has not wanted to “open a melon” on whether or not he will opt for a third term on the Board, so as not to generate “uncertainty” in the party or in the government and because it will depend of different factors.
He has explained in an ABC forum that when the time comes he will assess elements such as his motivation and enthusiasm for running for another legislature, but it will also depend on his family and what the Andalusians want.
“If I don’t have that desire, the best thing is to leave it, but right now I keep it,” Moreno said about his commitment to Andalusia.
Regarding Feijóo’s proposal for the most voted list to govern, he agreed that “in democratic terms” a great agreement between the PP and PSOE should be aspired to achieve “that objective”.
Assess Vox behavior
He has opined that for “social justice” the most logical thing is that the favorite of the neighbors is the one who runs the town halls, but logically as long as that agreement is not closed “everyone” will continue to do “additions and subtractions to govern.”
Regarding possible municipal pacts with Vox, he wanted to wait to see “how that formation behaves”, if it puts the general interest of citizens above ideology or wants to “draw attention or carry out a radical policy”, since in that case “it will be very uncomfortable.”
Moreno asks his candidates to aspire to “a sufficient majority” and has set his example in the regional elections, despite the fact that he had already been “assigned a vice president and advisers.”
The leader of the PP-A sees it as “practically unfeasible” to govern in all the capitals and councils, but he does consider that they have “clear” options to lead in all the capitals and to conquer new supra-municipal entities.
The objective is to “balance the scales” with the left, mainly the PSOE, since it now has 75 percent of municipal power.
Moreno considers that “the more aligned” the municipalities are with the Board and the “more complicity” they have, the more government action can be “multiplied”. EFE
