Unemployment fell especially in the services sector, which reduced its number of unemployed by 713 compared to April, while in construction it fell by 30 people and among those looking for their first job, by thirteen.
It did not drop in either industry or agriculture, which added two and six unemployed, respectively.
Of the total number of unemployed people, 18,611 are women and 13,035 men, while those under 25 years of age total 1,991.
Despite the decrease in unemployment and the increase in affiliation, fewer contracts were signed in Cantabria, a total of 15,087.
The indefinite ones represented close to a third: 4,568, and increased by 6.58 percent compared to the previous month, at 282.
However, compared to April 2022, there were 971 permanent contracts less than those signed in Cantabria, which represent a decrease of 17.53%.
