Madrid (EFE).- 73.51% of the companies and 61.46% of the self-employed consider the implementation of the four-day work week without salary reductions unfeasible, while two out of three workers see it as possible to implement it while maintaining wages, according to Adecco.
According to the XXVI Adecco Infoempleo Report published this Tuesday, 41.53% of the companies surveyed question the measure due to the lack of profit margin to maintain wages and 27.97% due to the lack of productivity margin to amortize one day a week.
Despite the positive forecasts of national and international organizations on the growth of the Spanish economy, 60.93% of companies have estimated that the evolution of employment this year will be worse than in 2022.
However, 50.99% of the companies surveyed by Adecco have responded that they will maintain their templates and 31.79% say that they will hire new staff, 2.2% more than in 2022.
The so-called “great resignation” or “great resignation” from work does not seem to worry employers, since only 29.14% have noticed an increase in the number of resignations this year, however, 64.95% of employees have declared that they would resign if their conditions are not improved.
Of the total companies consulted, 43.71% consider that offering more flexible hours would be an effective measure to counter the crisis and improve their productivity and 31.45% point to direct temporary hiring.
According to the study, 66.23% of the companies have confirmed that they do not provide the option of teleworking to their staff.
For 72.79% of those hired, their companies have not allowed them to telework in 2022 and 42.52% have stated that their employers have not compensated them in accordance with the Remote Work Law.
Adecco has prepared this report from 355,573 job offers published in Infoempleo and adecco.es, a survey of companies and human resources professionals and a survey of 3,992 professionals with and without employment.
