Seville, (EFE).- Neurological alterations (19.2%), among which are fainting spells, suspected strokes or variations in level of consciousness, are the main reason Andalusians call the 061 emergency service coordinating centers.
These are followed by non-traumatic pain (15.3%), such as abdominal, thoracic or back pain; dyspnea or respiratory distress (9.7%). Alterations of vital signs (9.2%). Traumatisms (8.2%), psychiatric problems (7%), gastrointestinal (4.2%) and traffic accidents (2.4%). While the rest of the attendances correspond to other reasons, such as bleeding, allergies or poisoning.
As reported in a statement by the Ministry of Health and Consumption, to which 061 is attached, the health emergency teams have intervened in the first half of the year in 36,019 critical situations. Arriving at the place of assistance in 91% of cases in less than 15 minutes in urban areas.
The 061 emergency and emergency coordinating centers have managed 1,436,673 calls during the first six months of the year. Which means they have served a daily average of 7,937 in Andalusia.
Eight coordinating centers
In that same period they have responded to a total of 697,744 requests for assistance. Of which 7% correspond to emergency situations and 46.7% to non-delayed emergencies. While the rest are delayed emergencies and home notices.
In addition, 20% of the set of requests were resolved from the coordinating centers themselves without the need to mobilize resources from the Andalusian public health system.
The 061 health emergency teams were mobilized 36,019 times to attend to emergency situations in situ. With a satisfaction above 9 out of 10 of the people cared for by health professionals. According to the results of the survey carried out annually by the Health Emergencies Center 061.
