Madrid (EFE) | The head of the JxCat list to Congress, Míriam Nogueras, has warned this Sunday, after obtaining seven decisive seats, that her party will not make Pedro Sánchez president of the Government “in exchange for nothing” and has assured that her priority “is Catalonia” and not “the governability of the State”.
The seven seats of JxCat will be decisive when it comes to deciding the Government: the progressive majority that made Pedro Sánchez president the last inauguration would add 172 seats, four less than those necessary to achieve an absolute majority.
“A new stage” for the independence movement
Nogueras appeared at the JxCat electoral headquarters surrounded by the party’s top staff and flanked by its president, Laura Borràs, and its general secretary, Jordi Turull, at a press conference in which she ventured that “a new stage” is opening in which independence “unity” will have to be recovered.
“We will not move an inch because we do have memory. Sánchez has many pending duties with Catalonia. A giant hug to Xavier Trias because Pedro Sánchez took the mayoralty from him by agreeing with the right”, Nogueras pointed out.
