Sánchez made that call after casting his vote for the elections this Sunday at the Colegio del Buen Consejo in Madrid accompanied by his wife, Begoña Gómez, and where he has been received with a cross of shouting in his favor of “president!, president” and others against “get out, liar”.
The socialist candidate has encouraged that there be “the largest of the participations, the largest of the mobilizations” before this electoral appointment and that it be “historic” so that the Government that comes out of the polls is “strong” and Spain can advance during the next four years.
He has affirmed that he has “good vibrations” but has insisted that it is the voice of the citizens that must decide today.
The Chief Executive thanked the media, the Post Office workers, the citizens who make up the polling stations for this 23J and the state security forces and bodies for this election day that he has described as “very important” for Spain.
“They all make it possible for Spain to show itself to the world as what we are, an irreproachable democracy,” he stressed.
Sánchez recalled that there are many international media outlets watching what happens this Sunday in Spain and he said that this shows that what happens is also very important for Europe and for the world.
“That should also make us reflect and go vote,” he added.
Sánchez has commented that he will spend the day with his family, with his wife and daughters, and “very expectant” in view of the evolution of participation in the elections.
