Teruel, Jul 22 (EFE).- The Qatari Nasser Al-Attiyah (Toyota GR) in cars and the Spanish Tosha Schareina (Honda CRF) in motorcycles have reissued the title of Baja España Aragón champions.
In an edition with only two days of competition, conditioned by the call for general elections, the results of this day’s specials have certified the superiority of both pilots, who have once again been the fastest to travel the roads of the province of Teruel.
In cars, Nasser Al-Attiyah has shown his ability to recover, after an irregular performance in the two stages on Friday that has not allowed him to lead the standings until the first special this Saturday.
The Qatari has fulfilled the forecasts and has achieved his sixth victory in the Baja España Aragón, after having finished the test with a time of 6:18:37.
Brazilian Lucas Moraes (Toyota Hilux), who was leading the general standings until Friday, has achieved second place on the podium after finishing 1:43 minutes behind the winner.
The third was for Carlos Sáinz (Audi Sport) at 9:17 minutes, fourth place for the Lithuanian Vaidotas Zala (Mini Cooper) at 9:51 and the ‘top-5’ was completed by the Portuguese Joao Ferreira (Mini Cooper) at 11:08.
Nani Roma (Ford Ranger) finished Baja España Aragón 2023 in seventh position, 11:56 minutes behind the leader and Isidre Esteve was 17th at 28:37.
On motorcycles, Tosha Schareina continues to expand her record and wins her second title in the Baja España Aragón, after the one achieved last year.
The Valencian has not given his rivals any opportunity and has set the pace to follow in the four stages held between Friday and Saturday, winning them all and placing himself at the top of the general classification with a time of 7:02:56.
In second position is the Spanish Lorenzo Santolino (Sherco 450), at 10:09 minutes, while the third overall is the Portuguese Rui Gonçalves (Sherco 450) at 15:21.
The fourth position is occupied by the French Neels Theric (Kove Rally) at 23:15 minutes and fifth is the Spanish Sergi Sangrà (KTM 450) at 26:42.
