Vitoria, (EFE).- EH Bildu and the PP have shared the presidencies of the Vitoria City Council commissions, positions that traditionally fall to opposition groups as has also happened on this occasion, although amidst criticism of “cynicism” by the PNV.
In this new legislature there are 11 informative commissions in the Vitoria city council. EH-Bildu and Partido Popular have shared the presidencies (6 for Bildu and 5 for the PP) after uniting their votes and those of the Elkarrekin municipal group, while PSE-EE and PNV -which form the government team- have abstained.
The PNV spokesperson in the Vitoria City Council, Beatriz Artolazabal, has not criticized this distribution formula in favor of the opposition, but rather the fact that the Abertzale coalition has assured in the electoral campaign that there are pacts between the PNV and the PP with the intention of “confusing the electorate”, when “in the first of the opportunities that EH Bildu and the PP have had to negotiate, agree and agree they have done so”.
“These two formations, leaving the rest of us on the sidelines, have sat down, have agreed and have supported each other to share the presidencies of all the municipal commissions. Of all. They have worked on a document that has not been verified with us. They have not sought agreement. They have not informed us ”, she has insisted.
Sources from the PP municipal group have denied that there has been an agreement with EH Bildu and have explained that they have acted as in previous legislatures, that is, distributing the presidencies among the opposition.
The same sources have indicated that Elkarrekin Podemos has been left out of the presidencies because it only has two councilors.
